Beginnings
We've all watched Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z and have been inspired by the main major theme of martial arts. Dragon Ball, Z, and GT is about martial arts at the core and the strong moral principles that martial arts stands for, especially found interwoven into the spirit and character of the honest, good, pure of heart star, Goku. Goku was originally named Kakarot when he was born to his biological, Saiyan parents on the planet Vegeta. The Dragon Ball series consists of such fantastical imaginative concepts such as space and time travel, ESP, telepathy, telekinesis, supernatural martial arts, and so forth while always continuing to teach right from wrong, to always do what's honorable, and to forgive and forget. Since Dragon Ball, the initial series that consists of the childhood of main character Goku, what is often seen is the introduction of new characters as enemies at first but as events unfold, all the characters become friends with one another. This is particularly seen among characters, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, and Xiaychu in Dragon Ball. Even Goku's best friend in the series, Kurillin is at first his competitive martial arts work out partner when the two are being trained by the Turtle Hermit, Master Roshi. Later in Dragon Ball Z, the same is seen with characters, Piccolo and Vegeta. Dragon Ball, Z, and GT are about martial arts, fighting for what's right, teaching virtues, and forgiveness. Goku is a hero, a martyr, and a messiah.
